The First Sounds of Autumn
“Ahh” Karli said relaxingly as she turned over and was about to fall back asleep when she heard a car door slam. She jumped out of bed and saw something orange flash out of the corner of her eye. She quickly got dressed and raced past her breakfast and out the back door. “It’s finally fall!” Karli hollered as she saw her mom come around the corner from her little supermarket trip. “Hi honey, I was thinking of waking you but I thought you needed some extra sleep just in case.” As the leaves rustled Karli thought this was going to be a great day.

You make an ordinary morning scene interesting by your use of speech between Karli and her Mom.
I think that your title is perfect and fits well with your last line.
